Sexual Health Services

At Lingwell Croft Surgery a Sexual Health Service is available.

 

Our Nurses offers

 

• The contraceptive pill ( combined and progesterone only )
• Depo injections ( lasts 3/12)
• Sayana press injection training ( self administered contraceptive injections )

 

Doctors have specific clinics for

 

• Nexplanon implant  – lasts 3 years- fitted by  Dr Russell and Dr Massheder
• IUCD  Dr Massheder

-copper coil — no hormone 10 years

-kyleena coil -progesterone hormone -lasts 5 yrs

-mirena coil – progesterone hormone -lasts  8 years   ( or 5 years if being used for HRT)

 

Emergency contraception is available from pharmacies or Leeds sexual health clinics
